Yes, we know it's last minute but so was our confirmation to perform at this event. Cubata (Wilfredo's Cuban Dance Performance Team) will be performing at the Salsa Fixation Dance Company Social in Miramesa (San Diego). Below are the details that were advertised to the public. If you can make it, come cheer us on! There is dancing afterwards but I can not guarantee there will be timba, but "you-know-who" who's going make some suggestions to the DJ.
Salsa Fixation Dance company just returned from another successful run at the Palm Springs Salsa Extravaganza. Now revitalized, they have a special Fall Season Kick Off planned!
When: Friday Sept. 6th at 8pm-? Cubata will perform at 9:30pm (See schedule below)
Location: 6635 Flanders Drive SD CA 92121 suite D.
Cost: Drop in $12 for class and showcase; Students $10 for class and showcase
Showcase only $5.00 all.
Event Schedule:
8:00pm - Salsa Essentials- the reality of what you need to do to improve and gain confidence on the dance floor. If you look good you feel good and when you feel good you dance "marvelous." Identify the beat, dance on it. lead it, follow it and more.
8:45pm - Inter Salsa club patterns-learn some new moves, perfect the ones you know and how to look good doing them.
9:30pm - Salsa Fixation Showcase- Line up includes direct from Cuba- "Cubata Dance Company," Salsa Fixation "Fania Tribute," and more.
9:50pm - UCSD Latin Jack & Jill Contest- Winner gets free membership to Salsa Club.
10:00pm - Social dancing till? DJ Morocomix and DJ Salsero.
