Just wanted to let you know that since we have been out there dancing socially and doing rueda demos out in the community, there has been some great interest from new people taking classes for rueda de casino. So to make the information accessible to new people visiting the San Diego Rueda Blog,

TUESDAYS from 6:30-8pm Begins November 7th (Taking new people to join the class-series). Maritza offers a lock-step cohort format class series with no drops once the series begins. This means once you start those in your class move with you to the next level (Level 2 for one month, Level 3 the next month) to raise your level as a dancer. So if don't sign up for November, you will have to wait until next year in March to sign up for Beginner Level 1. See Maritza's curriculum.

Start the weekend right dancing rueda de casino at our Friday Rueda Practice for an hour before we the Musica en la Plaza event featuring Manny Cepeda Orquestra. Sabor Caliente Hispanic Heritage Month Event in City Heights San Diego - Sat. Sept 30th

There is a free, family friendly event showcasing Music, Art, Dance, and Culture, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage! Get Ready San Diego! Day-time Casinero Meet Up at Carlsbad's Hispanic Heritage Month - Sat. Sept 16th

We are kicking off the weekend beginning Saturday in the day time. Maritza has been asked to bring her playlist of timba, Cubaton, Dominican Bachata and Merengue. Below is the Facebook event descriptions:

Purpose: To bring two Cuban dance communities separated by geographic distance together by hosting each other,share a meal together, socialize with each other, dance together, learn rueda in a fun environment and working together on techniques to become a better Cuban style dancer. Los Angeles will host San Diego casineros and Cuban dance lovers offering a taste of Cuba in Santa Monica
