Auto racing was a Cuban tradition for decades, until Fidel Castro declared the practice elitist and outlawed racing indefinitely. However, a vibrant, underground group of enthusiasts and gear-heads have kept the sport going for years. Now, set to a lively Cuban soundtrack, the underground clubs are preparing for the first sanctioned drag race in Cuba since 1960.
In the run-down rehearsal rooms of the infamous Grand Theatre of Havana, Amanda and Viengsay dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their demanding routine: classical ballet. Their every step and aspiration echo the great achievements of their predecessor, Alicia Alonso, the prima ballerina assoluta, still invincible at the grand age of 90.

The first American film shot in Havana since 1959, centers on Luis Vargas, an old writer who, as a young man, chose the excitement and possibilities of the revolution over the wealth of his family.
