Registration Now Open for Maritza's Level 2 Beginners Rueda de Casino Class Series - Mar 22nd-Apr 12th

Maritza is finishing up the Level I Beginners Rueda de Casino Series this week. It's time to register for Level 2 Beginner Class Series. 
Here are the details:
WHAT: LEVEL TWO Beginners Rueda Series: Mar 22, 2016 - Apr 12, 2016

WHEN: Tuesdays & Fridays (part of the series) 6:00pm-7:30pm Tuesdays are instruction; and Fridays are a rueda practice of the Tuesday's instruction; 

LOCATION: Private dance studio in Escondido! 1717 S. Iris Lane, Escondido, CA 92026

HOW TO REGISTER FOR LEVEL 2: Click and complete this Google Form Registration and then pay cash or check on the first day of the class. Registrations accepted until the day of the first class. LEVEL 1 Beginners in session (ends March 11th) 
COST: $40.00 person - Please bring cash or check on the first day of class. 

This one-month rueda class series is set up for casino/rueda dancers who have completed Level 1 rueda and already know the following knowledge & rueda moves:

LEVEL 1 CURRICULUM:
  • Finding the beat in timba music
  • Hand connection for leading and following and positioning in the rueda
  • Guapea 
  • Dame 
  • Enchufla 
  • Adios 
  • Vacilela - beginning stage of footwork for this, not the move itself)
  • In addition, Echeverria, Matala series(a.k.a. Suena or Pise), Fly series and a few add-on's to the five mentioned rueda basic moves
LEVEL 2 CURRICULUM:
  • Vacilela footwork and hand communication (Sombrero)
  • Pal'medio (closed position rueda moves (Un tarro series)
  • Exhibela
  • Ronde footwork
  • Cleaning up enchufla walking and follows marking time
  • Cuban Body movement training
LEVEL 3 Beginners Rueda Class Series: Apr 26, 2016 - May 17, 2016 
Registration will open in early May
LEVEL 3 CURRICULUM:
  • Level 1 and Level 2 rueda footwork/moves knowledge & mastery
  • Setenta footwork and hand communication
  • CocaCola (Juancola) footwork and hand communication
  • Traslado footwork 
  • Group moves training (marking time, hand connections, footwork) 
  • Cleaning up footwork from Level 1 & 2 before entering Intermediate Level 1
