Casinero Invasion at Club M's Salsa Night TONIGHT Thurs, May 29th

The last Thursday of the month is Salsa Night at Club M. This time it's a new band but it's not son and it's not Combo Libertad. BUT, there will be a casinero/rueda invasion tonight because there will be a large group going tonight from Tim Snedekeer's rueda class going and some of Maritza's past rueda student and many of our casino-dancing friends will be there. There is a table reserved by Cathy Baquet so keep an eye out of the casineros and introduce yourself to them as they are a very friendly crowd. Below are the details:

Where: Grand Hotel Del Mar at Club M

Cost: No cover but there is valet parking ($10) OR you can walk a couple of minutes from the FREE hotel parking lot and you have the whole experience for free....unless you order a drink.

Please make a note of it.  Our very own Master AfroCuban Dance Instructor, Silfredo La O Vigo, is graciously opening his house and art studio for a Rumba Party with some live music, incredibly fun Cuban salsa suelta and a lot of casino and rueda de casino. Legendary Juan Formell of Los Van Van Passed Away at 71 - Big Loss for Cuba

A big legend in Cuban music history died yesterday. Juan Formell from Los Van Van passed away at 71 years. I will always love and play the music of Juan Formell y Los Van Van for the rest of my life. Los Van Van was the first timba I heard that made me want to hear more. One of the best musicians and a mentor to many Cuban musicians of our time.
