DEEJAY WARAPO will be playing the best and latest contemporary Cuban dance music!  By popular demand, MARITZA BAÍDA will be back up from San Diego to keep the RUEDA de CASINO flowing with a 5:30 PM class! KATI HERNÁNDEZ will be leading some AFRO TIMBA  to bring the good energy of Cuba’s Yoruba tradition to our celebration!

Get a taste of Chef Israel’s varied culinary delights: from salads, to sandwiches, to full entrees! Fuel for a night of dancing!

CURUYE’s SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12 CUBAN SALSA TIMBA DANCE PARTY is CELEBRATING A DOUBLE ANNIVERSARY: 16 years of the website CURUYE.COM, and eight years of CURUYE’s CUBAN DANCE PARTIES in LA !

YOU and CURUYE will be dancing it up with L.A.’s DEEJAY WARAPO and guest DJ WALT DIGZ (down from the BAY for the celebration) who will be keeping the DANCE FLOOR HOT with the latest CUBAN DANCE MUSIC SON! TIMBA! RUMBA! REGGAETÓN!,  5-10 PM in The GRANADA’s MAIN BALLROOM!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, Cuban dancer KATI HERNÁNDEZ, along with MARITZA BAÍDA (straight up from SAN DIEGO), will be co-teaching a RUEDA de CASINO CLASS at 5:30 PM, so be sure to get there early!

NOT ONLY WILL WE BE DANCING CASINO, RUEDA de CASINO, SON, RUMBA and FUNKY LINE DANCES THROUGHOUT THE EVENING, this month CURUYE will be having some cd raffles, dance class raffles, and a special bonus to those wearing their CURUYE T-SHIRTS and/or HATS!

Help celebrate the birthdays of DIANA MONTIEL, ELEANOR ESPINEL, GABRIELA TORRES, JENNIFER BARBOT, LIZETTE HERNÁNDEZ by dancing the birthday dance, and sharing some cake with them! (Message Curuye if you would like to celebrate your November birthday too).

CURUYE’s SEPTEMBER CUBAN SALSA TIMBA DANCE PARTY will be a particularly SPECIAL DANCE BASH winding up a weekend of KATI HERNÁNDEZ (L.A.) and MARITZA BAÍDA’s (SAN DIEGO) second ’RUEDA QUE SE MUEVE’ event bringing SAN DIEGO casineros together with L.A. dancers for a series of classes with KATI & MARITZA, this time in L.A. KATI will also be having her CUBAN MUSIC & DANCE GANGA happening this weekend, so there will be quite a gathering of California and out-of-state Cuban music and dance lovers to get to know and dance with! DEEJAY WARAPO will be playing the best to CUBAN TIMBA! SALSA! REGGAETÓN! He’s been playing some live recordings of some of our favorite artists that you won’t want to miss!

At 5:30 PM KATI & MARITZA will teach a Rueda de Casino dance class!
