La Gozadera: Cuban Salsa Party (feat. Kati Hernandez) - Sat. Aug. 3rd

La GOZADERA (CUBAN SALSA party) is back this August with special guest Master Instructor KATI HERNANDEZ! 

Kati was born and raised in CUBA, she currently teaches in LA Orisha therapy and casino. She is a treat to have in San Diego, she will be teaching a Timba Fusion class with AFRO and RUMBA!!! This a class you don’t want to miss, her technique will improve your social skills and get your upper body going to the sounds/breaks of the music. Kati will also be leading salsa suelta lines and getting everyone on the dance floor, no previous experience or partner needed.

COST:  $10 entry fee 

This event is open to all ages, so enjoy dancing with the whole family just like in the streets of Cuba. Students get in for free before 6:30pm with student ID.

Casino on Grass/ Beach Party in La Jolla - Sat. Aug 17th

August edition of Casino on Grass!! This time at La Jolla Shores. Don’t miss the beautiful views, dancing with friends and enjoying the sunset. Bring a dish to share, this is a free event so there is no cover.

WHAT: A Cuban Salsa Beach Party

WHEN: Saturday, August 17 at 4pm 

              The time has been changed to 4 to 8pm

WHERE:   Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla
                 1100 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037 
               
HOW TO PREPARE: Bring a snack and something to drink, beach layered clothing, blankets, sunblock, sunglasses, camera, beach chairs. We are definitely taking pictures of this place!

PARKING: Yeah...well... that's going to be the challenge. There is parking but it is a highly trafficked place so get there before 5pm to get parking. Below is a map of the area and where to park. See map below:

It's really going to happen at Musica en la Plaza in Escondido, DJ Saul Timba will be playing timba (Cuban salsa) before Bulevar Descarga goes on stage and mesmerizes us with their Afro-Cuban rhythms and fusion with other music genres. You don't want to miss this! We'll be doing ruedas and salsa suelta in front of the band so get ready for an unforgettable night.

CURUYE’s JULY CUBAN DANCE PARTY! SALSA! TIMBA! REGGAETÓN! RUMBA! & CARNIVAL DANCES-SANTIAGO STYLE!

In honor of CUBA’s famous carnival celebrated in Santiago de Cuba in the month of July, KATI HERNÁNDEZ will be leading us in some carnival dances during the evening amid dancing CASINO (Cuban salsa), RUEDAS de CASINO, and REGGAETÓN LINES.  DEEJAY WARAPO will be dropping the hot Cuban dance beats.

FESTIVITIES include the birthday dance with JENNIE CAREY-ROSENBAUM, LUIS PÉREZ, and other July birthday peeps!

The Granada serves up a variety of tasty dishes from sandwiches and salads to entrees for hungry dancers! Contact Curuye if you'd like to reserve a table.
