In L.A.: CURUYE's JAN CUBAN DANCE PARTY WELCOMES in 2014!

SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 5-10 PM LET’s WELCOME 2014 with ACHÉ by dancing at CURUYE's FIRST CUBAN SALSA TIMBA DANCE PARTY of THE YEAR! DJ SAOCO will be spinning our favorite CUBAN SALSA-TIMBA-REGGAETÓN! WEAR WHITE FOR PEACE and LIGHT IN THE NEW YEAR, or RED for HEALTH, and for ALL GOOD THINGS IN 2014!

We’ll be having a SPECIAL AFRO CUBAN SALUTE TO THE NEW YEAR to kick off the festivities! Then KATI HERNÁNDEZ will be teaching some AFRO TIMBA to make sure we’re all dancing in the new year! JANUARY BABIES will be celebrating with some cake to share, and the birthday dance. 

IT’s ALL HAPPENING AT THE GRANADA! LET’s MAKE THE 3^rd FLOOR ROCK! 

We have our own food and beverage service on the third floor, and CHEF ISRAEL has a variety of tasty dishes to sample.!

Cuban Rumba Sunday - Domingo de Rumba Cubana - Dec. 15

AFRO-CUBAN DANCE IN ENCINITAS!

Whether you've never tried Afro-Cuban dance or you are a seasoned dancer, this class is for you!  Taught by Master Artist Juan Carlos Blanco, former lead soloist for Raices Profundas (Deep Roots), the nationally recognized folkloric dance company in Havana, Cuba.  This class will work your body and feed your spirit as you learn festive dances of the Congo nation.  Accompanied by Live Percussion.  This class is appropriate for all dance levels.

Come be a part of Umoja, featuring 3 Hours of pulsating rhythms as we move across the floor in CommUnity!  Celebrating Kwanzaa's principle of Umoja (Unity), this mixed level dance class will take you on a journey as we alternate between Afro-Cuban and West African dance traditions.  

Live Drumming accompaniment by the best drummers in San Diego!
