Rueda in the Park - Santa Ana, Sat. Sept 13th

¡WEPA! Come join us in the beautiful Centennial Regional Park for Rueda de Casino! Enjoy the scenery, the music and the fun as you learn this Cuban social dance. Learn the fundamental basic elements, lots of variations and the combinations that make up “Rueda de Casino.


Our next class will be Saturday, September 13th. Beginner level starts at 11:30am. We will cover basic steps and patterns, partnering technique, and the basic calls of Rueda de Casino. Intermediate level starts at 12:30pm. The Intermediate level is for participants who have worked on the fundamentals and are ready for more fun, fast patterns. Suggested donation of $5/person.

New Rueda de Casino Classes Start Up in September and some Socials!!

SAVE THE DATE! Casino on Astroturf at Solana Beach - Sat Sept 20th

Are You Ruedy Casineros?!
We are back on the AstroTurf for September's installment of Casino on Cardboard (AstroTurf)  in Solana Beach at our favorite spot on Saturday, September 20th! I have a new playlist of new timba, cubaton, and son music and it's smokin'!! Join us for some fun ruedas, salsa suelta and just plain old on-on-one casino dancing. Bring your camera to capture the sunset while we dance. 

Here are the details:
What: Casino on AstroTurf at Solana Beach
When: Saturday, September 20th 5:00pm-8:00pm
Where: Fletcher Cove Beach Park in Solana Beach: 111 South Sierra Avenue Solana Beach, CA 92075
What to bring: a snack to share and something to drink. This is a family-friendly event. 
Cost: This is a donation event, in an effort to buy a snap-together dance floor for future Casino on Cardboards events at the beach.  We will have a donation box next to the food and drinks. We are now at our 1/4th of the way to buying our community dance floor. Let's get it to the half point soon!

Casino on Cardboard at Coronado Beach - Sat. Aug 16th


This is the August installment of Casino on Cardboard and we are taking it back to Coronado Beach to watch the sun go down, dance and be amongst our dancing familia. Come learn some fun rueda de casino moves, salsa suelta moves and casino moves while you are there. Bring the family.  Kids and grandparents are welcome! So come by and dance and share good times in one of the most beautiful beach sites in San Diego. I have a really cool casino/rueda de casino game to share that I have created. Come check it out!

What: Casino on Cardboard at Coronado Beach
When: Saturday, August 16th from 5pm to 8pm;  Set up is at 3:30pm
Where: Coronado Beach across from Sunset Park in Coronado
Sunset Park address is 101 Ocean Boulevard, Coronado, CA

I need volunteers to help me unload the floor and tape it up at 3:30pm. I'll meet you at Sunset Park in Coronado Beach (same place we had it before).

We also need a portable table for food and drinks. I have a cooler with ice and a couple of trashbags.

Come by and bring some snack or drinks to share. Bring your beach towels,  beach chairs, a sweater or sweatshirt and a camera as it will get cold later as the sun goes down. This is the last month before school starts all over again so come and enjoy one last month in the warm sun and sunset.
