I have new playlist of new timba, cubaton, and son music and it's smokin'!! Join us for some fun ruedas, salsa suelta and just plain old on-on-one casino dancing. Bring you camera to see the sunset while we dance.

Where: Fletcher Cove Beach Park in Solana Beach: 111 South Sierra Avenue Solana Beach, CA 92075
What to bring: a snack to share and something to drink. This is a family-friendly event. A donation event, in an effort to buy a snap-together dance floor for future Casino on Cardboards events at the beach. We will have a donation box next to the food and drinks. We are now at our 1/4th of the way to buying our community dance floor. Let's get it to the half point soon!!

In OC - Rueda in The Park - Santa Ana - Sat Apr 26th
People are asking what to do this weekend. Well...if you want to do a mini-road trip to Orange County (Santa Ana), you can dance rueda de casino with a group of really fun and friendly casineros. San Diego casineros should really try to go because it is a lot of fun. Plus it is really nice to see more casineros who share in the same joy for rueda. Are YOU Ruedy????

APRIL Installment of Casino on Cardboard at Oceanside Harbor - Sat. Apr 19th

It's will be a gorgeous day today to spend at the beach dancing to timba, son and cubaton as the sun goes down. This time, we are going back to Oceanside Harbor Beach for the April installment of Casino on Cardboard. This time, last year, we had it in April at Oceanside Harbor and we had a great time. See the picture below to where we will be on the sand and look for the Casino on Cardboard signage on the side of N. Pacific St. There will probably be some heavy traffic due to the good beach weather and whatever is going on in San Diego so plan out some time to drive here early and join us.

NEW STUFF (Enchufla Charangon, Happy Mambo, and Tumba Francesa con Manolin and bringing back some old ones (Nueva York and We Will Rock You!). Come and cool off by the sea and enjoy dancing outside to natural air-conditioning especially made by the Pacific Ocean.

Pre-Rueda Flash Mob Video of the Carlsbad version of the "Happy" Song
Just before the Carlsbad Rueda Flash Mob on Saturday, March 29th, A guy was making his own lip-sync video on the same day just before we hit ground dancing at 4pm for our rueda de casino flash mob. Our friend, June Mattiza, casinera and Zumba queen, found the video and many of our flash mobsters were captured in it. The sentiment is definitely shared that we are very very happy to be living a good life in Southern California. That whole day was a "HAPPY" good time! Enjoy!

Timba in the mix of music at the Studio K's Dance Social This Friday Apr. 4th

It is confirmed and stamp-approved by the owner of Studio K that there will be TIMBA (and lots of it) in the mix of kizomba, Zouk, and Bachata for their social event this Friday. While this flyer may not show"TIMBA" it IS going to happen! The owner loves timba and loves what Vidal is teaching in his rueda classes on Sundays, so we have a supporter for timba music and dancing casino and rueda de casino. Don't be shy and ask for timba! Any particular songs, ask Vidal, he will have it!! You like Havana de Primera? Vidal has it!! You like Los Van Van? Vidal has it! you Like Maykel Blanco? Vidal has it!

WHERE: Studio K - 9340 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, Suite F, San Diego, CA 92123 (in Kearny Mesa)
Cover $5, but $3 only for students or military. Located in the mall at the corner of Ruffin rd and Clairemont Mesa blvd, between the I-163 and I-15 on ramps.
All ages and abilities welcome. We are especially excited to offer a safe, welcoming and non-intimdating social dance opportunity for new dancers, especially in Zouk and Kizomba but also Bachata and other styles.
Note that this is a studio so no bar. However there are plenty of bars and resturants nearby, and plenty of free parking. Alcohol is not allowed inside the premesis, but this means that we can welcome all ages and go on for as long as you can dance. 2 am is just a nominal closing time :)
